The October 21, 2022, meeting will include a presentation by Kathy McKnight, Founder of Bound for Better, advocates for Domestic Violence, on the topic "Domestic Violence Awareness". Tentative for 1 general CLE credit. Tentative for 1 Mental Health and Substance Abuse CLE credit.

Kathy McKnight is not only a woman of GOD, but considers herself as no one’s victim, but a survivor of Domestic Violence. Kathy found it not robbery to start her own 501c3 non-profit called Bound for Better in January 2014 to help women build their self-esteem and know their worth. She is a certified Victim Specialist III in the State of Maryland. Kathy is also partnered with a Hotel where the Hotel provides a 72-hour temporary stay, Bound for Better also has an adopted bedroom where the survivors can stay even longer, also with the local county Police in Prince George’s County, MCASA, and other agencies/organizations Kathy has her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and her Master in Psychology with a focus on Drug addiction. Kathy loves her family, she has 3 beautiful girls, Chelsea, Tiesha, and Iesha Glover, as well as 3 handsome grandsons as well as the relationship that she has with her God, traveling, horseback riding, and shopping. Kathy strives each morning when she awakes expecting to do something good for someone. She is very passionate and persistent in helping others and may not feel whole if she feels as though she can’t help anyone. Kathy always finishes her conversations with women, “KNOW YOUR WORTH”!!!
