Fall UnProgram 2022

Please join us at our Fall Illinois NAELA UnProgram, which will be held on Friday, October 7th, at Northern Illinois University, Naperville Campus. Tentative for 4.5 General CLE Credit & 1 Mental Health and Substance Abuse CLE credit. 

Featuring a traditional UnProgram, the day will be comprised of presentations and three breakout sessions led by teams of moderators. Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. While sessions may be moderated by IL NAELA members, the moderators will not present on the subject topics; rather, they will help facilitate discussion among the group.  Presentations for the upcoming UnProgram will be given by:

  • Steven Milburn and Kathy Butcher, with the OIG.
  • Amy Wilhelmi, founder of Balance Wellness Collective: 'Applicable Mindfulness for Everyday Life'

Steven Milburn

Steven holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a law degree from DePaul University. After several years in private practice, Steven joined the Illinois Department on Aging in January of 2016 where he served Deputy General Counsel for the Department acting as legal advisor to the Adult Protective Services Program. In February of 2018, Steven joined the Office of Inspector General as legal advisor to the Long to Care Asset Discovery Investigation Unit.

Kathy Butcher

Kathy Butcher works for the Office of the Inspector General. She graduated from LLCC in 1988.  She worked at the Secretary of State from 1989-2001. In 2001, Kathy began working at the Bureau of Long Term Care until 2007 when she became a caseworker. She started at OIG/LTC-ADI in March of 2012 as a supervisor. In July of 2015, Kathy was promoted to Manager of LTC-ADI.

Amy Wilhelmi

Amy Wilhelmi is the founder of Balance Wellness Collective. Balance Wellness Collective is a therapy & divorce mediation practice in St. Charles, Illinois. It is an integrative and holistic mental health practice and has professional therapists on staff as well as natural health professionals. 

Amy has over 15 years of experience working with children, couples, families, & the LGBTQ community. She is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Illinois and Wisconsin (a non-attorney Divorce Professional). She believes in understanding the whole person and complex relationship dynamics and abides by a mind/body/spirit approach to care.
